Sharon Lee (b.1992, Hong Kong) is a visual artist working with pinhole photography, expanded archives, visual poetry, relational aesthetics to rethink cultural dislocation. She graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and pursues a Master of Fine Arts at Columbia University in New York City with scholarship. Her recent exhibitions are “If Tomorrow Never Comes” with Kyotographie at Kyoto Art Center (Japan, 2023) and “emo gym” at Tai Kwun Contemporary (Hong Kong, 2022). She had commissioned art projects with the Art Promotion Office Hong Kong (2021), Peer to Peer: UK/HK and Hong Kong International Photo Festival (2020). She was selected for KG+SELECT and Sovereign Asian Art Prize (2023) and won the WMA Master Award (2019). She is the recipient of a number of art grants, which include the Peter Curzon Oram Charitable Trust Scholarship (2020-2022), Friends of Art Museum Research Grant (2021), HKSAR Talent Development Scholarship (2019-2021), HKADC Cultural Exchange Arts Development Fund (2018) etc. She had art residencies in Taiwan, Austria and Germany.
